Why put the PCB from a Microsizer? Wht not just buy the Microsizer? That's like saying your putting a Hemi in a civic hatchback. Ofcourse a Civic hatchback with such an engine transplant (assuming the rest of the drivetrain matches) would kick any arse of any mustang, skyline, supra, charger, GT0 chevelle SS ..whatever
I kinda have to agree with RMYC .Its not worth havving to waste any time to make a poor product better. I returned my ZZ three times cause each one was NIB but defective in someway : 4ft range, charger wont charge, steering did not work.
Radioshack has ALL the technology, potential, and materials in the world to make one bad micro r/c car that blows the door of it's JDM counterparts, but it did not- which is a big shame! They rushed this product and quickly wanted to join the micro bandwagon. In other words, they want money in their pockets faster! Im sure more than 70% of ZZ owners across the nation do not know what an MS/ Bit-Char G or Digi Q is..

- i haven't found the QC to be bad at all, and haven't had a problem with any units purchased...
- don't get me wrong; i'm no RS cheerleader... IMHO, RS has abandoned its roots to the hobbyist, and now pursues a "Sharper Image" or "Brookstone" marketing mentality...
- as far as 70% of ZZ owners not knowing what the other mini-RC cars are - this is the fault of the other manufacturers, who apparently are unwilling or unable to sign deals or perhaps produce the cars in the quantity and the quality required...
- in fact, if you consider how manually intensive putting a product like the ZZ together is, you'll see that there's no way the ZZ could be built and sold by any US firm at the ZZs current price... if it were, something would have to give - features or quality...
- the fact that the ZZ is as good as it is - is quite remarkable... for a more illuminating (and perhaps sad) picture of how the ZZ (and other products) are built and put together, see:

I think some people fail to know that ZZ's, Microsizers, Bit Char-G's, Bit clones, and many other consumer electronics are made by low wage no wage labor in China. When I say low wage I mean 10 cents an hour! So I agree that your lucky you get as good of quality out of these products as you do, considering the way there made.
