Angry Broken chassis

I'm upset and a little angry right now. I've only had my bit char-gs since Saturday and already one is broken. The Trueno tunup box is great but the R34 booster machine is garbage. From the first time I tried it the car had a major stutter and and seemed to be slipping the gear. I tried a few different gear ratios and nothing helped. Today I picked it up to play with it and found it to not work. Confused I took the body off and was shocked. The chassis is broken in 3 places, all appear to be stress points. The motor won't hold in, the piece that holds the motor in won't stay in place, the gears don't mesh at all, and there doesn't appear to be anything that will hold it together. I tried a drop of crazy glue on each of the breaks but the stress at these points is just too bad.

The car had never been dropped, stepped on, kicked, or rammed into anything. Most of my driving has been on carpet in my house and once in my garage. The car was running (although stuttering) when I put it away last night. This evening it's dead.

Is it possible I got one with a bad chassis or is this a common problem? Is there anything I can do with the chassis or is it garbage. I know the circuit board is attached by those thin wires and my soldering skills aren't good enough to remove it. I'm just upset that I wasted money on this booster machine to have it broken in 3 days of light driving.

well, i don't think that is common, mine broke too but someone steped on it so i understood. do you think something might have hapened to it while you weren't looking? i don't think it would break just from driving it around

I don't think there's any chance of something happeing to it. I played with it at 2 in the morning then put it away in my drawer. Took it out the next day and it wasn't doing anything, thats when I took it apart and noticed the problem.

maybe you can go to where you got it from, explain to them what happened and maybe get your money back. you can at least try

gear slipping

one of my cars gear slipped becasue when i first got it i wanted to see which gear would be the best taking the axle on and off wore down the notch were the axle fits and so the back axle didnt have a snug fit in its notch so it would stutter i fixed this by adding on to the notch with glue

blacksabbath070, that's a great tip, the sloppy axle holder is a common issue. I was wondering if anyone has tried adding something more friction-reducing, like some kind of teflon compound in this area, it seems like it could make a big difference?

Speaking of torque, has anyone tried external magnets like the Squat Neos from Mini-ZRacer.com on the BC-G motor? I tried one and it boosted the pulling power immensely, yet didn't seem to decrease the speed. I set up a "truck pull" and pulled a block across the room with the magnet BC-G, and when I tried it with an unmodified, it couldn't even move it!
