Lipo Users... must see
I've always wondered what happens when a Li-Po goes bad, but FOX television won't make a special TV episode, MUCH to my dismay!
There is releif though! you can see some bad lipo fires, controlled of course, on google video!
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...ipo+fire&hl=en
is one such video.
after seeing this video, among others, I went to satisfy more morbid curiosity, and went to youtube.com I found an INGENIOUS little thing called teh Lipo Sack. I may be behind the times, but I personally have never seen this before. so! here's the Vid of a Lipo Sack in action. it's a MUST HAVE For every lipo user.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSgjj6NT5U8
enjoy!

Lipo are safe when you charge then correctly, No need for a bunker or special can to charge them in.
Lipos have been used for YEARS in laptops and Cell phone, they are 100% safe with those devices becuase they are using a charger that can not damage a lipo by over chargeing.
If you want to charge them the corect way, buy a decent lipo chargr and a thermal sensor $8, and you can rest assured you will never puff a lipo from over charging...
I have used lipos for over 4 years and NEVER had anything like that happen.
I have puffed packs and packs damaged from crashes where the insides have leaked out, and still no fire...
Every lipo fire I have read about is due to charging the battery incorrectly..

I fully understand that if you do everything correctly, there is very little chance of anything happening. However, taking precautions can never hurt anything. "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". There are things that can go wrong. Even with a thermo sensor, if there's a charging spike at the end, of if when you're removing the charger prongs, something could happen, a drop of water, who knows. I'd rather have the lipo in a sack that won't burn my hand off, than the alternative. Call me crazy, lol, but I like my hands where they are. No hooks for me! (^_^) anyway, I just think it's a great investment to have. I'm a homeowner, and My insurance is high enough, lol. They don't like My RC car hobby. Something about storing Fuel in my basement. (personally I don't see how that is any different than home heating oil. 625 gallons of oil is a little more dangerous than 5 gallons of nitro? ROFL they're stored next to eachother!)

run times vary as to the Miliamp hours of the battery, the biggest MaH you can get (while fitting inside the STOCK battery spot) is about 200MaH, making it about one and a half more run time.
The run time isn't why you go lipo... You go lipo for more voltage, and more charges/battery.
A charget ranges from 50-150 bucks at my local hobby shop, I'm not an expert.
and it's not the cell that's explosive, it's the material. with a smaller battery, it may be a smaller fire/explosion, but it will still burn.
On that note, my brother, in his infinite wisdom tried to explode a small one cell lipo to no avail using the puncture technique.

I don't know of any direct fit ones, since they have not yet designed any for the Micro-T. Usually people claim that the Aero Ace battery will fit nicely, as it's 170MaH. You need to do some minor trimming, but if you aren't experienced with Lipo, please, wait till they make the batteries for us. (I'm not experienced, so I'm just waiting).

A thermometer might help... put it ON the battery. I'm not talking the one you put in your mouth, that will only go to 120degrees or so... but maybe a digital one.
