lights

I'm trying to put lights on a zz. not SE. Since i need to know what the cables are running FROM the body of the se, i was hoping someone would know. Im going to go test it out right now until i can find out what each cable is. but Im hoping someone could save me the time. If the car itself cannot run the lights. I guess i could use a watch battery but i need to know what the cables are. thx.

What cables? The ones that run off the pcb? I don't know exactly everyone from the top of my head.

You could just tap into your battery, by soldering on one wire to the postitive and one to the neg( not on the battery, but the battery holder) So the lights would come one when it's charged up. But that would decrease your run time alot.

You could dualcell it, and put it in a series so you'd get longer runtimes. But then you neet a stand alone charger.

Are you using SE lights?

since im short on time, no pictures will be used. sry .

There are 4 wires running off of a chip from inside the SE body to a quick disconnect hookup (the hookup which should be plugged into the actual car) The wires are yellow, orange, red, and brown. no black..hmm...

I was thinkin of using a watch battery, like the flat cell batteries and having that betttery run the lights, but I cant figure out which wire is what. I havent tried testing the wires yet because I dont know if i could harm the wires.

any ideas?

Oh, I see what you're saying.

Here's what I did.

I got rid of the circut board. Just cut the wires off. (See pic) Then you can strip each end of the wires and hook them up to a battery. One wire comming off of the LED's is pos. the other is neg. So you just put them right on the battery. Simple as that.
