Lowered 911 Turbo NX SE (pics)
Spent some time this evening. Still need to clean up the hole and Im going to paint the car black eventually. Im pretty psyched on how it turned out. The front fender well gap was horrid before.
Original ZZ 911 turbo
NX motor (so fast)
Rack trimmed a little.

Quite. Now I just have to get my OGZZ to get up and go...that thing is slower than xmas.
MY god that NX motor is sweet. SOOO fast. I recently decided to stop tinkering for now and just get used to the way these things steer.
Part of me thinks the turn to the right spin out is just in the nature of these things...my OG SE does it too and it tracks DEAD on.
Ive got an eye on a Mini-z or a iWaver / Firelap 2.0
Just found my lhs is gonna have a track soon and order straight from Kyosho. Tempting..Tempting

Sitting pretty now. The 911 body was one that really benefits from lowering. I have a soft spot for them as it was my very first Zip. The original red one my daughter bought me. I blame her for my madness.

I have the porsche bodies and I always wanted to put the lights in one.
As for the mini-z/iwaver, I hope you have better luck than mine... I'll probably post a rant about mine soon.
The overland however, is awesome!

Yeah lights would be nice. I might snage the ones out of one of my Corrollas I got with the initial D set up.
Question. Are the OGZZ sluggish by nature? I put the 28k motor in it and it took forever to get speed up. I even put the red gears in.

i would always spend the longest time getting mine to run straight only to have them spin out on turns. i finaly figured out that it was becuase the frame was slightly twisted. do a search and you'll see that its a pretty common problem.
i was able to improve it by twisting it the oposite direction then shimming the gaps until things were straight.
