Hey

me and my friend wanted to go splits on a metal bearings kit and i checked up on it and it said

What's in the box

12 - 10mm bearings
2 - 6mm bearings

why are there 2 different sizes of bearings and also would me and my friend be able to share the box of bearings. If not what if i brought another friend in and bought another box and split the cost 3 way. you only need 8 for the wheels right so if i bought 2 boxes thats 24

24/3= 8 but than again those damn 6mm comes in

Here's the breakdown:

8 x 10mm = 2 for each wheel shaft
2 x 10mm = 2 for the drive Differential

The extra bearings are for if you got the All-Wheel Drive upgrade:
2 x 10mm = Differential in the AWD upgrade
2 x 6mm = Drive Shaft in the AWD upgrade

If you're running just 2WD and don't care about upgrading the Diff, then you and your friend can indeed split just 1 upgrade set.

Actually my math is wrong. You need 8 bearings (2each for the 4wheels) for 1 car. So the 2 of you couldn't split just one set because you'd still need 4 more bearings.

You are correct, get a 3rd friend in there and buy 2 sets...2x12= 24 bearins. 8 Bearings per car, for each of your 3.

Since your buddy has the AWD, he'd be able to utilize the 2x6mm bearings for the drive shaft.
