Xmod Evos are in CANADA

Ok here is the deal.

RadioShack is back! After July 1st, 2005, I thought the RadioShack brand was gone forever here in Canada. Their new website is www.radioshackisback.ca.

The only store I know of right now is at the open shopping plaza at Morningside & Milner (near Cineplex Odeon and EB Games). I was very surprised to see it (since I thought the brand was gone). Just by walking in I got into a brief conversation about how RadioShack came back.

AND they have the xmod evolution for $55.

Why am I posting this, well to try and help my fellow Canadians (well Torontonians) to get their new Evos locally. I unfortunalty bought my evo from the states for .....wait for it....$71 USD.

Now I feel dumb...oh well hope this helps.

RS is coming back, but only 4 stores open so far

Yes, the suit is WON, and RS comes back, and the reason is that:

EVO's are THEIR brand, so will be sold, and are as clearly mentioned above

saturation throughout ontario is slow to come, but theyre here

I BTW got my H@ from US too, but can get em for 48 US $ from a friend.

Gen1 is only sold by the Source.

Gen 1's will be carried by source only, cause NOT a rs brand now,,and source Im sure will die off soon as gen 1's will to........

theyre all on sale now, for 39 a kit, and half price all hops

now for evo's, there here, but only in two stores in toronto so far, and yes, RS is coming back

Oh one other thing. When I was in the RS I saw that all EVO were half price.

The Store manager said that the EVO's were on clearance and that the would likely not be getting anymore.

xmod canada they extended it to something like febuary 26

also if they dont have what you want you can order online and have them ship the the source of your choice, for free, thats how im getting my awd

As far as I see it, (Now it's March 2006) RS isn't back in Canada...or at least in Ottawa:

They made this new name called the source by circut city, and only sell Gen 1. Xmods and Custom Rydz. I asked the clerk if they woukld be getting the evo's and he said no.

sir, you're info needs updating.... let me clarify

the source stores are not new anymore, and sell(only) gen 1 xmod kits and hops

radio shack IS coming back..IS back in toronto for months now...and has many stores opening soon in ontario, some now open, and they sell the evo line only...

they (RS) also just finished a sale where all evo starters were 28 or 34 $ canadian, but this ended 2/28/06

and source's sale on gen 1 starters ended, at 35 $, now all 69-79 again

'now you're in the loop' and maybe 'talk to RS' about when they're coming to ottawa!
