stage 2 or stage 1?

Is it better to have a stage 1 motor with a 6 cell upgrade? or a stage 2 motor without one?

Having never tried a 6 cell upgrade I would have to say go with the motor. You'll get more power out of the motor without the extra weight you would get by adding 2 extra cells onto the car. Besides, I'm not sure adding 2 more cells would really help with a stock motor.

the stage 1 with 6 cells will probably be a little faster then a stage 2 without the 6 cells but I would get the stage 2 and the 6 cell upgrade, it would be much faster than a stage 1 with 6 cells.

go with the cells first, you dont want to get a super fast car without having much expierence with them. then you can always add a new motor

i have stage 2 with 6 cells, it goes good. the only con is trying to get the cells in the right place to fit on the body. you can also by-pass the power switch to add power. my 6 cell car went from 6.3 to 7.2 volts @ the motor just by doing it. just remember to take out the batteries when your done

it allows more power to go to the motor, it adds a little over one volt ( about 1.6 ) it makes a noticeable difference. it is not as hard as it looks, i have dont all of mine my self

I HIGHLY doubt a switch took almost 1V of power.
