Xmod Sudden Death
Has anyone had their Xmod die suddenly? I was playing with mine at lunch in my companies parking lot and it died. It hit a bump pretty had as it sits really low and it suddenly stopped. I have taken it apart as I thought it might be a short causing the prob. No dice. Tried another remote, no go... then I tried my remote for the dead car on another car and it won't respond. Tried my back up remote and the second car at it responds. So, at the same time both my remote and xmod kicked the bucket!!!!
Ironically I just got two xmods for parts/experimenting. Looks like I'm down to just one for craziness...
This sucks!! Has anoyne had this happen to you?

Dead Hummer
Same thing just happened to me. I was playing with my Hummer in the kitchen and took it off a jump and the front came down hard on the tile floor. It died but I managed to get it running again after flicking the switch a couple of times. Then I just tapped the tile again and everything shut off a second time and hasnt started up since. Before that I've rammed walls at full speed and its been fine. Nothings visibly broken and I cant understand how hitting the front skid plate thing would just kill it like that since the motor and everything is in the back. I'd appreciate any input, thanks.

A power wire might be broken somewhere, that's what it sounds like to me. It probably temporarily gained a connection the one time by flicking the switch. Take the car apart a little and make sure all the wires are still connected, including the ones to the circuit board.

Ok thanks. If I find that one is disconnected, will I most likely just have to solder it back into place?
