would it be possible to have six gears on an mt while retaining the same motor mount area. would you have to add plastic on to the top of the motor mount for the sixth gear??? +

I don't know why not. I've done a bunch of regearing with ZZ/ZZSE gears on an MT. You might have to remanufacture the gears to mount them on the chassis. Likewise, you might want to remanufacture the gears for the motor pinion and axle. Experiment, have a good time with your project, show us what you've come up with.
