Stand Alone TTTT Website
would there be enough interest in having our own website for this addiction?
it would be nice to have a dedicated full service site/shop here in the u.s. would the european experts be willing to continue posting on such a site?

Hi arch2b,
I create the site www.mikromodell.de . So if you have interesting to publish projects, tips or instructions, I will be happy to put them on www.mikromodell.de
All I need is the text, and the pictures (maybee drawings).
The forum itself should be still stay here. A lot of people know this source of knowlegde and so I know no reason to change.
best regards
Thorsten

a bit off topic but...
do you know of any new rocco or other kits being released? so far most are either 5/7ton man, unimog, iveco or the like. it would be nice to see more creative stuff such as many of the projects you've done.
what do you think about the TTTT kits as opossed to hand built?

Hi arch2b,
the large manufactors fo the 1:87 cars are not so quick in release new products.
Take a look at the small companys. Here in germany some small czech manufactors sale interesting russian military trucks. Like the original, this truck is good for very hard offroad.
for example: http://www.igra.cz/auta/auta.htm
A list of some other manufactors are here:
http://modellautolkw.de/welcome.html
Another solution is building you own truck by yourself. Just take a driver-cabin from a truck of your choice and create your own frame, numbers of axles....
I think the availible kits are good solution to build your first car without any experience in TTTT. The second one should be handbuild.
