Should I?

I've been looking at XMODS for awhile now and I don't know if I should buy one, They look so realistic it's amazing...
But is it worth the 50 dollars? How big are they? like a zip zap or regular RC?

Thanks

Yea, I saw all the features awhile back and like all the stuff that's out for it but I was just wondering if it was worth the money since I'm trying to save up for some stuff. Thanks for the info

XMods if you won't do much track racing.
Easy to use, good support, easy-to-get parts.

If you want detailed bodies, a decent track racer, great overall car, get a Mini Z.

And if you're leaning towards a Mini-Z but want to try something less expensive first, give iWavers a try:

I recentyl got an NSX and i love it, i have gotten alot of upgrades and it is really fun, also it drives my dog nuts watching that little thing flying around the kitchen. He tries to bite it but he hits the antenna and it freaks him out.

If you're the type of person that likes taking things apart and seeing how they work more than using them. Then you will love xmods. I'm not saying they don't perform, but theres so much you can change around on them. I actually like playing around with different motors and drivetrain set-ups more than actually driving my car around. And if newbitowner can save you 15-20 bucks on an xmod, go spend the money on save on a stage 2 motor kit or some IC-3 rechargables. The IC-3s are better in the long run because they will save you money, by not having to by alkalines, and are always there when you need them.

Go with the Mini Z.
You can score an MR01 (older chassis) for -$100.
Better investment to an XMod unless you just want something to play and mod a bit.

a couple things that'll really test your patience are looking for a good hobby shop(if your in baltimore like me) and trying to learn this stuff(if your new to RC cars, like me). I've had mine for a couple weeks now and when Im not tinkering with it and screwing it up Im thinking about tinkering with it and/or impatiently waiting on a part or tool to tinker with something in paticular. You might as well lump the cost of a dremel and soddering tool into it as well :P I havent gotten either yet and my only access to them is at a TV & Electronics store I do deliveries for part time.. Infact right now my Xmod spread apart on a table in several pieces in a back workroom at the shop, and here I am anxiously scanning the forums thinking about stuff I wanna try with it...
