I finished my track a few days ago. You can see the pics at:

I really enjoy racing on it. It's an oval layout with a moveable barrier. With the barrier turned to the infield it includes a chicane followed by a sweeping left hander into a tight 180 down a short straight to the 2nd turn of the oval. With barrier in place it's perfect for 3.8 motors. It measers 4' by 8' so you can really motor down the straights.

Take a look and tell me what you think.

Looks AWESOME....

What did you use as your racing "surface"? Just paint? Your barriers look very good too !

NICE track.

Thanks for looking at it. The surface is the best part of the track! It's noiseless, lint free, and has great traction. It is the reverse side of interlocking puzzle mats. They are fantastic! The barriers are vinyl moulding (what is used inside some bathrooms around the walls instead of wood trim). I cut the bottom portion off the moulding and used it for the barriers. The top portion is used on the guard rails. The whole track is portable. The guard rails and barriers are attached with velcro!

garage

I like having a garage! The only reason I built was for the car storage. Yeah Right!
