Super Bit Char-G

Anyone knows what the two buttons on the top side of the controller are used for? Are they boosters? If thats the case why are there two of them, left and the right side? Thanks

they can be use for boosters. the chips used on these cars are very generic, most of them have a "turbo" output pin. So depending on where the manufacture connected the wire, you may have a turbo button.

as for the other one, it beats me...

The super bit char-g's are NOT 2-speed boosters. They do have certain advantages over the 2-speed bits (this is info from other posts):

- lower profile which could help prevent flipping at high speeds
- some claim that the pcb sends slightly more current to the motor, making it a faster bit
- it should have better rims and of course a better body
- while the other bits and clones have 27, 35, 40, 45, 49 and 57MHZ, the super bit char-g's work off two frequencies (here in the US 27 and 49mhz) that vary slightly to allow 6 cars to race at once similar to what the zipzaps se does to 27mhz.

Hope this helps.

I have a Super Bit char-g and it has a boost feature. The controller was dropped while it was open and since then it boosts from a 1.6 to a 2.6 for some reason

You dropped it? I know the super bits are supposed to be the better model upgrades...but i'd like one with a 2 speed control... why does the controller need two top buttons anyway... which have yet to be answered...hmmm... 2 top buttons...????

Look, If you go to my other posts, my other super bit char-g has a straying feature. Depending on the side the controller that is pressed, the car strays that way. I have no idea how dat happened. I kinda tried to mod my controller and voila.
