you REALLY outdone yourself this time, are you trying to break josh's record?
can we get a weight? it should be VERY light with the li-polys on there.. damn that things not gunna even be driveable, lol
nice job.
how come iv never seen this?
This cars sweet to. I was thinking of doing the same thing, You should REALLY consider going to some 1/18th scale cars, espically if you have the best electronics for them, AND all those lithiums, Think of the possiblitys

Different Car, your thinking of this one:
Mustang, with body kit.
Three 14430 lithium-ion cells, 11.1 volts 650 mAh, third cell is removable.
2x8 Front Deck Turbo with orange lights, and 5 volt regulator.
4.7 K surface mount steering mod
Ball bearings
100% GPM alloy drive, steering, and suspension upgrades, with rear deck, and titanium drive shaft.
Aluminum wheel nuts.
Custom tuned hybrid motor; Iwaver X-Speed Pro can with neo’s, bearings, and silver brushes, combined with a custom tuned, epoxy balanced Plasma Dash armature.
Custom reworked ball differential.
Custom hood scoop, orange lighted FETs visible through scoop.

Yes, I don’t have a nice CF chassis handy but here’s a mock up on an old test plate. You’d probably only want to use two cells and the servo would be mounted diferently.

Did I say where I got them form? It must have been a mistake, but ok.
The Front Deck Turbo LED’s are 805 surface mounts you can get them from electronic suppliers and/or LED retailers such as LSdiodes. They mounted on my front deck turbo along with a small micro switch that turns them on or off. The turbo is wired to the batteries and has a regulator that supplies the Xmod circuit board with a constant 5 volts. The 4 front deck LEDs use less than 80 millamps at 3 volts which computes to less than 1/250th of my battery power for this car. So if you left them on they would take some of your power but nothing you would notice.

Not.

|
The batteries go to the Front Deck circuit board once there the power is used for many things one of these is the input to the 5 volt regulator. The 5 volt regulator output goes to the Xmod circuit board for steering power, CL lights and such, it also goes to a resistor on the Front Deck circuit board that steps it down to 3 volts for powering the LED's.

GPM 3 Cell Li-ion 2x8 Turbo Mustang Gallery
I ordered the GPM parts from GPM.
Edit
Whoa exploding knuckles, happens everytime I flip the voltage select switch to 14.8 volts first the right and now the left, too bad I’m out of GPM parts, I have cup joints and a bunch of Mini-Z parts coming but no knuckles, I suppose it’s time to place another order. What color? I’m thinking purple or red. I was planning to put this on eBay before Xmas but now it will probably have to wait.

That will depend on what finely ends up going into it. I have way too many cars so I usually sell off my projects after I’m done. Just for fun I wanted to put this one on eBay for Xmas. I was planning on setting the minimum at approx. what I have spent on it, and then letting it find it’s own price. Unfortunately unless I tone it down a couple of notches it will need several GPM parts and they will take awhile to acquire.
Right now I am putting the hinges on the hood, and deciding if I want to borrow the GPM parts from the above mustang so I can finally get it on the speed checker for a test run. I’ve also been toying with the idea of putting a couple more FETs on each stack and cutting out a hole in the hood so that the top FETs just peak through.
