How do I remove the casing off a pager motor?

I got a pager motor from a flea market I went to. The motor was only 50cents brand new.

I plan on hooking it up to a Bit Char-G sometime to see how powerful it may be. Problem is, theres some casing around the motor. Its made of rubber, probably used to lessen the vibrations from it when used it a pager.

Has anybody ever tried taking it off? I dont want to damage the motor.
