help with red rear LSD
i recently just finished rewinding my team orion stock 180 motor to 37 turns. when i installed it into my mod and took it for a test spin, it barly moved but the motor was spinning very fast. after inspection it seems that the lsd is just slipping under full throttle. has anyone else had this problem? do i need to make a plate lsd? any help would be great.
thanx

i found the same thing to happened when i was using 6cell stage 2 drift with foam tires on carpet. high power and high traction do not seem to mix with the lsd. there was a big hesitation on takeoffs (just the lsd slipping as you said). i remember seeing the thread on the plate lsd but i never tried it. i just put the open diff back in...

well i made a temporary adjustable plate type lsd out of my old white one with some white plastic washers out of my old rc10. it seems to work good for now, but i really dont think it will last all that long with the plastic on plastic friction. seems like the weak links i have had with my xmod have been #1 steering knuckles, i have broke 3 pair(bottem screw must catch on something and snap the post off). #2 axle cups 2 pair between me and my brother and now #3 this lsd problem

i run a limited slip gear diff. no slippage whatsoever got some washers off a tamiya 4wd car and wedged them between the plate gears in a stock differential. works like a charm. paper punch out works too. no need to modify or take out anything just place them in between the sidegears and center casing piece. or you cn go the open differential route or fully lock the differential.
edit: xmod knuckles suck! ive broken many too... also c cups...
