I put ZZ front wheels on my bit..
I put my ZZ front wheels on my bit and it helped my steering greatly!! This car turns on a dime now!! I had to dremel the chassis slightly so the bigger wheels wouldnt rub, but it was an easy mod. I think it also helped the looks of the car too, considering im using ZZ rear wheels and gearing. Anyone tried this yet?

Sorry no pics im using a webby right now (pc is in the shop), I didnt take the front wheels off the axel, I used the ZZ axels. They're the same size as the bits. so they fit perfectly. The wheels rubbed the chassis only when turning, so I just shaved a little notch off the chassis behind each wheel to take care of that. You could also just use a hobby knife if you dont have a dremel, but be CAREFULL!!

I did this mod also. Pretty easy. On mine, I only had to shave the body. No cutting of the chassis. All you have to do is trade wheels & hubs from the ZZ. Then you mount em up like regular char-g hubs, and thats it. Pretty straightforward.

heh swapping the rims was the first thing i did when i got my ZZ
i had to shave the chassis...and i had to shave a little of the inner fender of one of my skyline bodies so the wheels could turn...
besides the looks, the bad thing is that the front is now raised about 2mm higher..if only they had some thinner tires to get a low profile look

I also noticed that my skyline body rubbed slightly with this mod, but my rx-7 doesnt rub at all because the front wheel wells are larger. I kinda like the extra ground clearance, It dont snag on rocks and such as bad anymore.

I like to paint my bodies on the inside just using testors acrylic brush paint. You cant see no brush marks, and it looks like a clear coat on the body because the clear plastic is on the outside, and they dont get scratched up half as bad cause the paint is protected.

i tried that before...i had a clear skyline, i masked the windows on the inside...and then painted it orange...
when it dried...i didnt like the orange color, because it looked almost "peachy"....so i decicded to take off the paint and then paint on the outside with a different color

I do know what ya mean...I painted my rx-7 fl. orange in the front for a "fire" look and fl. green on the rest of the body. The fl. orange does look a lil peachy, but the fl. green looks great so I left it alone. I may try to mix a lil red in with the orange on my next body.

easier way to turn on a dime with stock wheels is to get stickier tires
