epoch pcb
i am going to be putting a li-poly batterie in my epoch as many of you guys know that already. but i was thinking about runnjing a 2 cell li po. but i need to know how much volts the epoch pcb can handle. since a 1 cell li po is 3.7 v and a 2 cell is 7.4. but ive never seen anyone witha 6 cell epoch. a 5 but not a 6. i think tis mainly b/c 6 wouldnt fit. but a 2 cell li po would be .2v more power than a 6. so why dont people do this. i know i wont be able to keep my epoch stop. i geuss i could find out how much the pcb can hande since the pcbs only cost $9.

dont exceed more then 6.0 volts.....5 normal cells......anything more will fry it unless you do some fet upgrades....when i tried the 6 cell it got warm real fast.....theres plenty of room .....theres a 7 cell on the forum somewhere but they upgraded the fets.

ok i was thinking about the fetts. and well i dont have my epoch yet and was wondering if the stearing has the same kind of fetts as the motor. if they do then that means i wont have to buy 3 epoch pcbs.

I don't know 2G2SILVERSTRAT having the same spec1/spec2 pcb as mine, but from what i discovered yet both use the same h-bridge IC (LB1638M) in driving the motor. The datasheet of this IC said that it can withstand max 1A current & 10.5V voltage, but it only allowed 440mW power dissipation......... hope these information may help you~~~
(But for other components on the pcb, I don't know whether they can support such a high voltage/current or not)
