maybe your motor quit on you? the 11 tooth motor does not have much torque as it is. but with the 6th cell, it should have been up more 'cause of the more power to the motor. the only probs. i have with my 6th cell is i ripped my cup joints, and some range lost (like 3 feet less).

you can do, run the 6 cells without the body. BUT BE SURE NOT HIT ANYTHING. If the motor still gets, hotter that usual, you have a problem. check you connections, and so forth.

btw, your are using the heaksink right?

it may be one of the battery wires.
check to see if they are touching the motor.
since the motor makes enough heat to melt off the plastic from the wires.
use the tihings that hold the wires on the batt packs.
it happened to me.

You have a battery shorted or loosly connected.

It could also be how tight you got the motor screwed down. Loosen up the motor mounts so that the pinion and bevel don't mesh so hard. Without power to the car, try spinning the wheels and pinion with your fingers and see if you can sense any unnecessary drag.

I've had some heat problems with my 6 celled RSX. Get the 2 extra cells away from the motor, say like in the bumper, and it will keep it cooler. Put a torquier gear on it.
