y me???????????? aah
i have no clue how this happend. i fried that L2 conductor on the reciever. my antenna was competely off of the car. i turned it on and a puff of smoke came out. and now my range is about 2 feet. wut do i do now? the 90 day warantee is still there but i have painted my body. aaaah

thank u. but my dad might have some left over from his shortwave radio kit. we'll see. i'll give u guys updates on what is going down. so far i looked at the L1 and L2 inductors. they look fine, but u can definately smell the smell or burnt electronics

no rs doesn't sell them. you have to go to a big electronics shop or order them online. Neruro posted a link to a place called Jameco. go there and look.

Mine also has shorted...I don't know how to fix it...$30 for the car and new pcb.

ok.....my L1 and L2 are fine. somehow the D1 is burnt out. i need to find out wut kind of diode it is so i can fix it. anyone know what kind of diode it is?

well for now i still have my civic chassis running. my local RS told me to call in everyday to see if they have returns. if they do he will give me a returned car for $10
