newbie questions

hi, im brandnew to tttt. i have a few questions.
1. where do i get these trucks?
2. all the trucks i've seen have 6 wheels and are army vehicles, could i get a 4 wheeled off-roader, that looks like a street truck?
3. do these have spring suspension or what.

you don't get then , they are all handbuilt by their owners { at a cost of about $300 including the radio control equipment}

they are so so small that the 1/87 scale trucks have to be large military to accomodate the electronics , batteries and so on.
you would have to go to larger scale to build what you are looking for.
look at the photos the builders have taken of the construction of their trucks ,all of them are different and unique in the way their suspensions are built and designed. check the resources thread in tttt and check out the websites for more information and ideas of what goes into one of these tiny enginnering miracles.

Hi turbopimp187

The trucks are selfmade. But there are a lot of sources in the www to learn about "How to made you own tttt"

To build a 4wheeler is easier than a 6wheeler. So I suggest you to start with souch a rearaxle powered 4wheeler.
Military or not is a question of your mind. I prefer a civil truck like a Mercedes Benz Unimog or an old Iveco (a little offroad is my favorite).

Spring suspension is a "nice to have" but it isnt nessesary. It is good to have a moving frontaxle so all wheels stay on the floor (even by driving offroad). Springs looking very cool, but their bring much problems in.

best regards

Thorsten
