57 Chevy Gallery

Check it out. 57 Chevy's for the old school hot rodders in the house. The shells are from Racing Legends and RC Mod applied the paint jobs for me. They ride on Tomy Booster chassis with S2 FET by Microamps and a 45K motor.

Those are some smooth looking rides JackD. I'm loving the detail on the shells, although would be nice to see wheels that matched.

Does Racing Legends have a website?

Nice looking cars. I can't wait to see them with the alloys on.

Quote from alloy wheels thread:

Great hook up Tiny !!! I'll take a 5 mm BIT Sprinter and a 6 mm BIT Offroad.........jd
So which ones will you use on your car? I think the Bit Sprinters would look best, if those are the ones you ordered.

You know, I took french in high school and college, and I still couldn't figure out where the "add to cart" button was. Seriously, I wouldn't mind picking up a couple of those, but I couldn't figure out how to buy them.

I took French in High School too. All I can remember are the bad words like maird and "votre mama". Usually, I just email Frank who speaks English and who works at Racing Legends and we just kind of work the orders out. I usually do paypal. I am getting ready to order some stuff if you want I can order some stuff for you too. The only problem is that it takes almost 2 weeks for the stuff to get to me from France.

I appreciate Tiny doing the alloy order....I ordered 2 sets of alloys, but its been so long, I forgot what I ordered. I hope they look good on these Chevys when they get here. Racing Legends also sells some cool looking GTOs, VW busses and Renaults. RCMOD does a good job of painting them for me.

I'm interested in getting in on your order, and 2 weeks is no big deal. How much are those bodies going for? I'm probably interested in 2 each of the 57 chevy, the GTO, the VW bus and the Renault, maybe that '40 Ford (or is that a Willy's?). Anyway, I can write him myself if it's a hassle for you, but if it helps save us both some postage, I'm in.

p.s. I have some alloys that I'd be willing to part with, brand new in the package. Let me know.

That's cool. The shells are $15 each (ouch!). Unfortunately, he's out of the 40 Ford shells. With your OK I will order ,2 GTOS, 2 Chevy's, 2 VW Bus and 2 Renaults for you. I plan to order 6 shells , so maybe he'll give us a discount. I'll let you know. I would like to go ahead and order the shells today and settle up with the funds once the shells arrive. Just let me know if you're interested. If you want to do the order yourself, Frank's email is Franckfiguls@libertysurf.fr. He takes personal checks but prefers paypal.

I am very interested in the alloys. Do they have the knuckles attached ? If the knuckles are not attached can you attach them for me ? I got alot of stuff to trade or I can pay cash. Shoot me an email at dupree.john@epa.gov so we can work this out.

Please note, as the website states, the shells come unpainted and are made out of resin.

Hey, sorry for not replying to you about the body order. I decided to wait a bit and order a bunch at once, so I'll just contact them myself.

Do you mind me asking how much you have in to some of your cars if you're hiring out the mosfetting and painting (in addition to the resin body and original chassis)? Just curious, don't mean to be obnoxious. Let me check into those alloys...

I got the 45K motors off of ebay. They run great with an FET mods, but they're not too good in a regular BIT.

Seller name is postalsmoo. The motor comes with a 200 mah batt for $7.99. Which I think is not a bad deal.

Are you sure? Many motor manufactuers make up the rpm ratings, as proven by Namuna.
