tinting lights
What is the best way to tint the lights, i don't mean tinting the light kit itself I mean like the clear plastic on the car body itself?

go to your hobby store and look in the paints section. If you want a dark blackish tint, look for a paint called "smoke". It's translucent so the light can go through. If you want other colors, look for something with the word "clear" in it. ex, clear red, clear yellow, clear orange.. etc...

Well the glass has to be really clean for a Sharpie to adhere permanently, and even then, if you overdo it at all, the coat will be very noticably uneven and the tip will start moving the ink around instead of actually putting any more down.
I've had this experience with other RCs.
It ain't pretty.

take the plastic lights out and use clear nailpolish. they have clear/any color (so u could make it clear red tint) and lightly paint on.

Don't use nail polish. It can craze the clear plastic. Most candy colors are transparent.
Spray VERY lightly. 3 coats should be exessive.
