Cheap Chrome Muffler for ZZ and Microsizer
Wal-Mart sells a line of cars in the toy section called "Muscle Machines" which are 1/64th size cars. They have a section for "Import Tuner" cars (Honda Civics, Toyota Supras, Ford Focus etc). Anyways most all the Import Tuner cars has a shiny chrome plastic muffler, which comes off very easily. And can be easily attached to ANY ZZ or Microsizer. The result is awesome :-D
I couldn't find a picture of the back (I have a digi cam, and most likely will take a pic later on).
Well thats my helpful tip of the day, if anyone knows ANOTHER cheap source do let me know .
Price Tag of Car at Wal Mart: $2.48
PS : You can also use the body of the Import Tuner cars on your Zip Zaps. Slight dremeling is required around the tire area and it "should" fit. I don't have a Dremel tool, but I plan to get one one soon and try it out .

I actually have all of the import tuner Muscle Machine cars from 1 - 22 right now. I think they have 24 models at this time.
They are nice. Great scale!

I love how it says "Die Cast Adult Collectible", like theres a scale model naked chick riding shotgun or something.

Hrmmm.....
The bodies would be cool, but since they are die-cast, aren't they gunna weigh like 20 lbs (obvious exaggeration... )?
Would like to see a zz with one on it though...

i concur with the body weight. it's really heavy. following a fruitless trip to r/s (looks like the west coast lock out is in effect) i stopped at walmart and got the 57 chevy. pity we can't use the tires (really too big front and back) and the body is too heavy. the bottom of the blower on the chevy hood encroaches on the zz suspension making for a really jacked up car. the flames are still pretty cool, though. alas, i can't even use the 57's exhaust. unless i surgically remove the headers and glue them to my hummer. hmmmm.

Ive been asking around on that, as i am in a business where i might be able to get something more on the molding.
But problem is i have a Bit..no ZZ to test it on, because if you are going to mold this, might as well take the mods to make it fit the ZZ all the time....what is the distance center to center of the ZZ axles?

Idea to mold bodies..?
I was also thinking of how to mold a body from a diecast car. After some research I was thinking someone might try using a small vacuum table and plastic. Check out this site for the idea : www.warmplastic.com . You could probably make a small vacuum table and buy the plastic. If any one is up to the task let us know how it works.

I saw some Muscle Machine kit at Target - it came with 3 big (fake) motors that you can attach to the hood. I thought about getting it just for the fake motors and trying to superglue one to an extra Porsche body from Big Lots just to see what it looked like
I think the MM kits was like $2-$3
