Found a new clone!

Well I'm not sure if anyone else has picked up on this yet or not but today at lunch I went to Target to look around and I saw that Hot Wheels now makes a micro RC car called KIT Racers. From looking in the packaging the parts look VERY similar to the Bit's parts, if not completely identical. The motor and heatsink look exactly the same from what I can tell, but when I get home from work I'll confirm that. I got the whole kit, Car, Controller, Motor and all for $12.99 so even if the only thing I get to use out of it is the motor then it was worth it. In any case it'll be good to experiment with so I don't have to mess up my real Bit. The bodies on the KIT Racers are crappy looking futuristic junk, but maybe a Bit body will fit on it, I'll try it when I get home.

The KIT racers made by Hot Wheels and are already mentioned in another thread. So nothing new, but I fink Hot Wheels got a license from Tomy to "copy" their Bit Racers... Basically: Bit Racers = KIT. See if someone can find a link to the thread that discussed this recent product.

Cool deal, I was figuring that someone had already stumbled onto the KIT Racers but wasn't sure because I didn't see any posts about it, but maybe I didn't look enough. In any case I'm pretty stoked because I got some extra parts pretty cheap.

I bought one at WalMart.
They are NOT an RC. It's a bit that has not steering.
You charge the thing and it spins the rear tires for 3 minutes.

You are expected to tie it to a post and watch it go round and
round....yawn.

They make a KIT track but thats almost as boring too. $40.00

It's TOMY parts though, and the break out pieces have TOMY
printed on them.
