Brushless motors?
im assuming a brushless motor just means that it doesn't have the little contact brushes inside but what exactly are the benefits from this?
the first time i heard this term was from a thread about a video of a mini-T doing 25mph.

You can find this information by searching yahoo, google, etc... But to make a long story short brushless motors last longer. Also by being brushless means less friction whichs is better means less wear.

Torque and RPM can be changed on any motor by changing the number of wraps on the armature and or magnets in the can.

Brushless motors are primarily used in computer fans, and like codeat said, they're meant to last long. So, there's no real advantage to using them.
