Just got my Char G, some problems

Hey all I just got my char g , its the Lxx one Skyline GT-R with a 3.0 motor, so far they are preety fun but not to fast, i think i can walk faster but then again its like 2 inches.....Anyways my car has really bad reception I mean I cant get farther then like 6 feet maybe until it starts to loose connection, I opened it up to do the increase range mod but I must have a new generation controller because its all different......also my steering trim was all the way to the left and it goes to the right a little bit....thanks in advance

chek the reverse side of the controller board...there might be a capacitor there...
it seems that the location of the capictor changes from time to time...
maybe its just TOMY testing out stuff..who knows

ive heard that alot of the LXX clones have crap for reception at any distance in doors, but out doors they do better...maybe they play close to the freq's of home appliances, and not as true to 27/49 as they should be?

Yes, LXX is just a clone of a Tomy Bit Char-g. Its an ok toy, its just a cheaper-quality one. You should be able to do an antenna mod or something to help with range. Go to Quest For Madness and look at the mods on the left. There's one for a telescopic antenna mod, and a PCB cripple cap mod. Good luck, and welcome to the forums!

about the steering trim try turning it to the other way the way you don't think is right. I don't know why but it worked for me just give it a quick try. if that dosn't work check the front tires to see i they are put on right
