Well I'm not home right now to test it out but I ws thinking. I have a stage 2 motor in right now (top speed gear ratio) and my range is pretty terrible. But the lights really only seem to go out (when it loses the connection to the controller.) more if not only when I'm hitting the gas. I'll have to try it out when I get home with a different motor. Just wondering if this is even possible or not?
That's a good point. It could be that the stage 2 doesn't have sufficient filtering with the caps it comes with. You might try soldering 1 or two more caps in parallel with the one already on there to see if it helps.
no. nvm. Its definitly not. because now I remember I had the same setup with a stage 2 motor in my other XMOD (before I toasted the little antenna resistors) and it ran fine. juts like it did stock.
