MIA's MODS

Pictures of some of my own mods:

1) New Body with driver, it is a lot lighter almost like driving with no original ZZSE body.

2) Bumpers front and back

3) Stiff antenna.

One Day Track

A small prototype track to detemine the right width and curvature for better turns, and minimal skill.

So far track has proven suitable for all micro cars including ZZSE types. I purposely made this track narrow to not allow the cars to wonder and keep them on track.

This track was made with thin flute corrugated cardboard box material for the bridge and column supports, a large 4x4 sheet of flat cardboard sheet, some balsa sticks for straight fencing, same but sectioned-cut and reinfroced with paper strips to form curves, finally painted with some left over paint I had laying around.

The track project took me and my son a day to complete, we've been having a ball with it since! My lightweight car body/driver is most realistic when we race side by side. More photos, possibly a video later on.

Tools:

Pen
Ruler
Scissors,
Exacto knife
Mini Hand Saw
Elemers Glue
Masking Tape
Disposable Small Brushes.

I had to add bumper bearings to my bumpers mod in post 1, in order to allow the cars to turn smoothly and with minimal body to track's wall or fence friction.

Looks real nice. Keep up the good work. I would suggest wider lanes so you can run epochs & superslicks as well.

By the way, I design ultra tiny RC flying helicopters and manufacture all types of kits and upgrade parts for almost every other RC micro heli that is on the market.

My company MIA Micro-FLIGHT started making RC Micro Helicopter Kits available before any comercial ones hit the market.

RC micro cars is just a fun past time for me and my 11 year old son, but I have a ton of ideas and if people like some of the stuff we are doing I will think about turning some opf these into upgrade kits.

Most of the stuff I produce is inexpensive. I like people to enjoy the various hobbies at affordable prices. Sometimes I give out freebies as part of the fun.

Comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mario

This is my most recent addition, not as sophisticated as my Palm Size yellow RC heli above but a most simplistic version which I plan on adding on to the track for more fun and realism.

Nice work MarioIA. I would be iterested in hearing more about your helicopters and such, send me an email thru my profile when you get a chance.

We also have a "Micro Flight" forum here, you may want to post some of your work there too.

Some more realistic MIA custom work

Thanks, car body pics before were just some prototypes, this my latest.

The car bodies are all original customized to fit ZIP ZAP SEs, not sure weather the regular Zip Zap have the same body locking tabs on the frames as the SEs, if they do then the custom bodies will also work with the regular Zip Zaps.

Next to the body is a heli canopy for one heli I have not released yet.

If folks like the bodies, I will consider making them available in nice kits you can purchase in sets of 2, so you can have 2 super sleek cars you can race with more realism since they have drivers nd the cars have that Nitro booster look.

The kits will be clear and will come with the aluminum tune pipe and ropll bar, a sheet of trim stick on material color choice, but you can trim, paint and detail as you like or similar to the way I show them.

Regards,

Mario
