Angry Ug....destruction....

Man-o-man. You guys likely remember me posting about my supra and the uneven turning in one direction. Right hand turns we like 12" radius turns, but my left hand turns were normal at about 3".

Well last night I decided to try and fix the problem, albeit at 2 am with about 5 beers in my stomach.

When I looked at it, the centering spring on the steering magnet was hitting the sides of the magnet of the magnet on the right hand side.

Here is a pic (From QFM) of the part I am talking about.

Well, in trying to "shave" down some of the plastic on the center spring housing, I in advertantly snapped off the one side.

So right now the supra is completely out of commission. I just tried to "glue-er" back together, but I am not sure how that will work. I tried some goop, but I may end up buying some modeling glue, as that should work the best.

So anyway, be careful with those small plastic parts, and don't be drunk when you do it!!!

....fubared....

My supra is dead in the water now. Tried the goop route to fix it, but it is not a firm adhesive, it kind of dries and is flexible. Well, the flex will not allow the car to turn.

So, tomorrow at lunch I will be buying some modeling glue to try and use to fix it. That should do the trick I would think. I really want to fix it, and not have to bust out my "other zips" to replace it. I bought 2 for me, and 2 for gifts for Xmas, and well, if I can't repair it, I will be snagging one of those gifts to replace my Supra!

krazy glue is all you need. just make sure there's nothing else attached to the plastic arm that needs to be able to move.

When using CA type glues use Eye protects. You don`t want to get your eye lids glued shut
