tamaya speed checker
Does anybody have one of these?because i just bought one, and i can't get it to read.it just tells me that the car isn't on correctly.

I got the Tamiya speed checker in Hong Kong. And no, my avitar isn't me... LOL... Just search Ayumi Hamasaki on any search engine and you'll find more of her pics. She's a Japanese singer.

i got mine on ebay as well.but for some reason, it acts like the eye isn't reading.the car, and symbol above it just blink.anybody else have this problem?

I had to hold the rear of the car over the rollers for mine to work. Not a lot, just enough for the rollers to grip... once you have it rolling for a fw secs, it should stop beeping

It sounds like these things are good for comparisons but I don't think they are going to show true speed. If you just need speed, maybe the treadmill trick will do.

that's about it SK, that's what I use mine for.
They just measure how fast you can get the wheels to spin.
