It can rechange I-C3 NiMh Batteries in 15 minutes!!!! They also boast that is some devices (Like Digital Cameras) they will last 4x longer than alkaline batteries!!!

The down side is that you have to use their charger and their batteries, the up side is that their batteries will charge in any charger, but only at that charger's top speed. (1 hour charger will still take 1 hour) and their charger can charge regular NiMh batteries, but it takes overnight.

I'll be getting one of these soon. This looks like a MUST for any heavy driver.

lol my walmart had thosed advertised for 8 bux. I go there and on the shelf it has this little notice. Oh there was an error. I wanted to go yell at the freakin manager, for false advertising ro something, but im too much of a nice guy

Fast chargers like these are never a good idea. Charging a battery rapidly only creates a surface charge which means any volt meter will show full voltage, but you'll see that the battery's runtime is substantially lessened. The longer time you spend charging a battery (at a slower rate of course) the more run time you'll get out of it, to a point.

Not to mention that anyone who's looking for a 15 minute charge will likely be putting the batteries in immediately after thrashing on their car. The batts will already be warm before you set them to charge. This is a bad idea and it's the usual cause of batt fires and explosions. All batt manufacturers state that the batts should cool down to room temp before recharging as well as before reusing which means Use-->>cool-->>Charge-->>cool-->>Use-->>cool..etc. Disregarding this warning could easily result in anything from damaged batts to a house fire.

Maybe you did not follow the web link for more info. It is a new battery techonology. The charger will charge ANY NiMh batteries, but if it is not the new standard it will take overnight. The batteries themselves are designed to be charged that quickly.
