I was wondering if some of the clones are worth it as far as cheap gifts go? My gf has 9 neices and nephews and I think the nephews would love them. However the $20 zip is streching it and the microszier $30 is way too much. I was thinking if I could get soem clones off of ebay for no more than 12 it would make a good gift even if it did only last a short while.
Most of the clones on ebay are about 10-12 bucks, but the sellers are in Hong Kong, so I think after the shipping and the long wait, you'd probably be spending about 20 for each car so getting the ZZ might be worth it instead (radioshack is usually within three miles of everyone in the U.S.)
I don't see why not. Try looking around locally. big cities like LA or NYC usually have people selling them in the street for 10 dollars or so. I'm pretty sure a year from now they'll be in the dollar stores like every other fad.
