Datsun 510 Body
Here's my datsun 510 body I'm working on.. I've pretty much got the body painted and all epoxied together. Now i was wondering what suggestions any of you have about mounting.

right now the body is just resting on the xmod. I had to sand out some of fenders to have steering clearence, and as of now the hood is just in one coat of primer.. thought it looked kind of cool so i havent finished it yet.

Looks good! How much did you have to cut off the body to make it fit?

Focused,
Looks good!!!! Can't wait to get mine on. Can you post pics of the front fender area. I wanna see more clearly how much you had to trim.
Thanks!

The model is just a Revell, It seems like everywhere I go anymore like Meijer, Walmart, Target and everyone has them stuffed in there somewhere.
As for the front fenders i sanded back to around .5 mm away from the door jam line (this is measuring at the sideskirt line). This being the first time i've measure i'm suprised to see they're both the same, I just eyed it when i was sanding.
...For the back I didnt sand very much, the flare of the fender is still apparent all the way to the bottom.
As for the hood question, I was planning on painting it black and dusting some of this krylon chrome spraypaint i have onto it, in hopes of a carbon fiber look.
I'll post more pictures and such as i finish things.

I am having the same problems with my Duster 340 project - how to mount the body. I am considering a simple threaded standoff that would take the place of 4 screws on the top braces. These would be cut off to the proper standoff height and I would use some industrial strength velcro like stuff.
You could go with pins I suppose but it would probably be more work.

I was planning on using some of that testors spray tint.. but couldnt find any so i need to resort that issue...
as for the mounting i was considering velcro as well in some part of it.
