XMod Track Builder v1.0.0

Hey everyone. I tossed together some software to help my local club design tracks for our race weekends. The program allows you to point and click a track layout to be built using 5' and 2.5' long PVC segments.

I thought everyone else might like to give it a whirl:

Here's an example of the program's output, it's our attempt at an XMod version of Laguna Seca:



We ended up making changes to the above picture when we ran it yesterday, since we didn't have quite enough segments of PVC, and the track was very narrow (everyone had to go to drift motors, and even then you had to run a very clean lap to top out). The biggest change was to almost totally remove the turn 7/8 corkscrew section.

Just one suggestion, diagonal segments would be nice but is more than usefull in the first place.

I thought about diagonals, but with diagonals, the segments wouldn't always match up to the grid, which would make the programming more complicated, and I wanted to get something up and running for this weekend. The current version only took me about 6 hours to code.

Perhaps in the next release I can add the ability to move and rotate the pieces and add 45deg elbows so there can be diagonals.
