Screwed it up how? Because I've found that it is really easy to get wires from the steering servo caught in one of the screws that holds the ESC board in place. In fact, the first two times I tried to reinstall that board I had to take it back out and repair the wires.
Unless you chipped a gear, there is little reason to have to replace the servo. Heck, you could even steal the servo motor out of a ZipZap. It's the same thing.

same servo???????
Ae you kidding?????????? I find that hard to believe, because of the size difference. The servo in my 1/10 scale truck is too big to even fit under the body of a xmod........I imagine it would take a LOT bigger servo to turn the bigger wheels at the much faster speed an xmod is going that a zipzap.

Let me clarify. The servo motor in the XMod is the same motor that ZipZaps use for their drive motor. I've had my steering servo apart numerous times, and can confirm this. Of course the XMods don't use the same servo as the ZipZaps. That would be daft.
So the steering servo in an XMod consists of a ZipZap-type motor connected to a whole bunch of gears and a potentiometer.
