Spring suspension on new Jeep Zip Zaps.
I just noticed that both of my Jeep chassis' are missing the suspension bar and have springs instead.

Hey good observation bad company. Are there springs in the firebirds and the cameros? There may be springs because a Jeep is a SUV. And also it the real car can go off road.

No, they are not in MY Firebirds or Camaros, only the Jeeps. The Jeeps are the last of the regular Zips to be released, so maybe all cars produced from now on will have them.

Excellent discovery, BC! -
Have you noticed much difference in handling with the Jeep chassis compared to the older ones? Any other changes compared to the originals?
That stinks that they won't be releasing any more of the original chassis Zaps - Damn, have to go buy me a Jeep now LOL! -

I have a jeep, but it doesn't have the springs. It has the suspension bar. Man that sucks for me. So, everyone watch out for that.

Let me clear this up. What I meant was that the Jeeps were the latest to be released, not that they are the last to ever be released. As far as some not having the springs, maybe they are just now chaging them over, so we will still see some without them, sorta like the way the did the PCB changes.

I just picked myself up a green Jeep a few hours ago -
Per BC's previous pic, it has suspension springs - What RS has done is to remove the suspension bar (the mounts are still there for it), and installed springs over the steering knuckles (just like the modifications that a lot of folks here have done to them LOL!).
The Jeep chassis and the older chassis(s) are identical, they simply removed the bar and added the springs -
Also, I had me a printed coupon for a free Wild Thornberrys body kit (see Internet coupons at http://www.radioshack.com/coupons ), which I also picked up LOL. Now, mind you, I have NO interest for these bodies whatsoever, but.... if I can "amputate" Daddy Thornberry from the olive drab Jeep, I'll have one helluva good looking military-styled Jeep! -

I was in a radio shack checking on Xmods to see if they were in and I looked at the jeeps and all of the ones I looked at had the springs, I almost bought one but resisted the urge.
None of the other cars appeared to have springs but then again I didnt check all of them, they had so many and I was on a lunch break so time was limited.
I really just want the jeep body do they come in any more colors.

Yep, AFAIK currently only the Jeeps have the springs. The Jeep comes in green (27MHz) and gold/yellow (49MHz).

I got the Green one tonight (my second regular ZZ, the first being a first gen Red Porsche), was hoping the green was 49 MHz, but no luck, wanted 49MHz, but also wanted green, oh well, another 27 MHz rc for me.
The springs aren't as stiff ast the ones in the ZZse's, at least not as far as I can see, they almost totally compress just with the weight of the car on them, or so it seems

Ditto on both accounts.
Yeah, I really wanted a 49MHz Jeep, but wanted the shale green color moreso.
