MOSFET question

Right, im not xactly new 2 bit chargs so dont call me a n00b 4 asking this:
How can i do a MOSFET mod? a link 2 a site would probably b more efficient than a full blown explaination right here
I know what it is(directing all power 2 the motor) but it seems really expensive 2 buy the modded chassis plus its not the same as doing it your self. I am working on a drag racer with a 3 cell NimH mod, 4.0motor, but will a MOSFET help much, or will it toast my bit?

Sorry 4 all the questions

TIA

Basically you will need good soldering skills. The mosfet mod removes transistors off the circuit board and replaces the with mosfets.

here is a site with some info:http://members.dodo.net.au/microamps/index.htm

The mod will give you more torque and speed. It will not toast your bit if done right, as long as you don't fry something with the soldering iron during the mod.
