Well, you could lower the s2000 because it is begging to be lowered and just because you are going to paint a body you can also mod it. What color are you going to paint it?

Put SE lights in it and put it on SE. Then lower away until it looks good

Or you could just make new slots above the existing slots on the chasis. You make new slots by heating a knife (an x-acto knife works best).

As for the new slot method, that is only good for a few select bodies like the Civic. Most of the bodies just don't have a good spot to cut a new slot and still look nice and have the strength to hold up to body change outs. Lowering the tabs lets you use that chassis to lower many bodies and doesn't mess with the cosmetics of your body.

I have tried cutting new slots in the S2000 body, and while it did work, after about 3 times of removing the body, the front of the body cracked where there wasn't much plastic between the two slots.

It's all a matter of preference I guess...

I lowered my 2F2F S2000 fine. I didn't cut the slot all the way through so it keeps a clean look. Its a little bit difficult for me to put the body on the car but no big deal. I also had to grind off some of the inside of the wheel wells so the tires won't rub against the body and slow it down. I wish a had a cam to put up a pic to show. I'm working on lowering the 2F2F Skyline next, i got the front slot where i want it, now all i have left is to do the back. I use no dremel, no candles/lighters, just a lot of labor using a small nail clipper with a file that has like a little hook lookin like end.

When you slot lower, on most bodies you dont have to mess up the body, Just cut a Grove on the inside(not all the way through). This way you can just have the lowered effect on certain bodies.
