Did you remove the LED PCB under the roof and the tabs that hold it? If not, it WILL go lower. I removed all that and got another 1/16" lower even without the body skirts.
When you have it as low as it goes, you will not have any space between the front tire and the fender. Take another look at mine again.

This is as low as it goes, and you have to remove the LED PCB and tabs. You will notice that even with the skirts, the main body is a lot lower than the original. Notice the wheels tucked up under the fenders.

And as I said, Nice Work! I was only stating that it can go lower without the appearance of the skirts as you said was the reason mine looked so low.

I made them out of stacked styrene sheets. You can get it at the local hobby shop. You can see more about it in the other thread.
