Welcome, welcome welcome!
The bits are great...I myself started with the Skyline set....Then my newest and current car is the Whit Impreza.
Look around for upgrade motors....
Toyeast is good to buy from, Quest For Madness is a good place to do mods, and so is RCMod.
Ooh! and don't forget about here! .

well the first thing to do is motor swap your car probobly brings a stock 1.6 or 2.2 you should upgrade it to a 4.0 or 4.2
they sell them here in the part sections but the highest are the 3.8 they are still very good

unholy crap...
Where do you get 3.xx:1 gears!? 8.xx:1 is considered "fast" so 3:1 must be insane so long as you have enough torque to drive it (you will with 4.8 volts I'm sure!)
As for the rest of that post...
...

3:43:1 kit racer gears?
Would a 4.2 motor pro be able to move that around a flat platform?

in an otherwise unscathed, stock bit? most likely not. if so, it would probably be laggy. with multiple batteries it would probably be balls out fast.

My dual cells can't realy get a 3:1 gear ratio going. Maybe a tri cell or higher.
