whats your motor speed?
what gears are u using?
which cam are u using?
its best to use the black cams...though...if u use the white one, it tends to get stuck like that....i have no idea why

'cams' are pinion gears...i dunno why people call them that. Make sure that all your stuff is snapped in all the way. Also, if your motor is bad, then its pretty much shot. they are so small that there is not much you can do. 2.6 and up dont last as long and tend to die spontaneously. I dunno what to do about your step down and axle gears...thats kinda strange....

No your talking about the gearing itself, we want to know if your using the BLACK PINION GEAR which is stuck on the motor. If your using the white pinion i hear it can lock up.

well... i use the black pinion gear(cam)... after runnin my engine for about an hour(no gears/NiHM moD) the studdering stoped... but the real problem is that the axel gear tends to not touch the other gear sumtimes... seems like i haved pulled the rear axle out a bit to much and when it locks in place its kinda loose... u think a new gear set would do the trick??

Hmmmm, NiMH Mod...Then the Motor starts to stutter?

I'd wager your problem ISN'T the motor, but rather a loose or pinched wire going to the motor.

As far as the Gearing, unless you're made other mods...The Axle gear SHOULD make a solid connection to the Idler Gear. Here's a Diagram, just so we're all talking about the same thing (http://tinyrc.com/gallery/Technical/aac)

Does the rear axle have a lot 'play' side-to-side? If so, that's your problem.

DUDE...i have been having the same problem with my 35mhz car.....I tried everything....antenna mods on car and controller......and then checking to see of the wires inside the PCB board were touching..they wernt...but it was a simple thing that fixed my most annoying problem..stutturing.......i think its caused by the motor and its postion........I moved the motor around and then even changed it....and used some newere gears and now its gone....try this out and tell me what happens

Something else I noticed yesterday......it seems that some OEM bullet axels are a bit longer than the BITS.....and guess what it causes the gears not to touch if used...any1 else seen this.
