Epoch info?
Hey there guy`s! This is one awesome forum!
I have raced 1/10 on and off-road before, but just got into these mini size cars...and I was wondering I am thinking of getting the whole sha-bang! cars, controller...and more cars! ( of course I will be ordering it all from here!) can someone tell me what is the best micro size electronics to use! including, ESC, Tx, Servo, also what kind of charger will work with all the differnt type of modded battery packs out there?
At this point I am thinking of a couple of epochs, and a mini-x
and a couple of mini-z F1s..and of course I will want to upgrade everything!(he,he,he) so sorry for such a long post but really would appreciate your help Tinyrc
thank you

Well, on the Epoch question...When you buy the kit, it already has EVERYTHING you need (just add batteries).
You're in for a whole lotta fun! The Epoch (spec2) is a blast! And at such a small size you can run em around the house too! Nice!

and my garage has smooth as silk concrete, will that be ok for these cars? I.E mini-z, mini-x, spec-2 epoch?

Dark, the Epoch set is COMPLETE man.
But if you want to upgrade, the stock radio is definitely 'cheesy' and is gonna be something you'll want to upgrade ASAP. I yanked the crystal and pretty much threw mine away! I use the Perfex radio (from my MiniZ) instead. Works great.
As far as the receiver, servo, ESC and such...You're basically stuck with the stock components when you're talkin about stuff at this scale. The smallest servo I know of is the MicroTech HS-50 and even that is TOO BIG for an Epoch spec2!

As far as your racing surfaces...The crete sounds like it would be fun and a decent surface.
The hardwood floor? Well, I suppose you can practice your drifting.

DaRkKeNHeArT, it looks like Namuna has answered most of your questions - I would recommend that you just use the Tx that will come with your F1s for the Epoch and X. All three cars you list already have all of the electronics etc. (assuming you go with the Mini-X complete set). Email us for pricing on the F1s, they are not listed in the Shop but we can get them via our sister site Mini-ZRacer.com. Thanks!
