Angry Caution! Fast&Furious Speed Tuner Kit

I went to RadioShack to pick up The Fast and the Furious Street Tuner Upgrade Kit. For those of you who don't know, this kit comes with 2 motors the NOS motor and the turbo motor. Well I noticed that a few of the kits had 2 turbo motors, no NOS motor. It seems as if someone (not naming any names *cough 'store clerk' *cough), had taken the NOS motor out and switched it with the slower motor.

Just be careful when buying this kit and check the motors. It should come with the NOS motor(yellow cap) and a turbo motor(red cap).

Because of the packaging, it's so easy to swap parts without showing evidence of the package being opened, so just becareful.

Wow, you're absolutely right! the way the packaging is...it's EASY to swap pieces with no trace of doing so!

<shakes finger at Radio Shack> tsk tsk tsk!

i have the yellow and the red motor..i have yet to use em..
when i got home..i immediately replaced my axles!! because my current one i only had was the one from a KIT racer...

Thats a good question, the website is useless... the only thing we know for sure is that blue is 12:1.

Does anyone have the basic tuning set w/ 2 motors and gear sets? and does it give you a clue as to whats what?

Pssst, if ya looked in the Owner's Manual...You'd see the chart!

Sheesh! Here...

Blue- 12:1 (Stock on all ZipZaps)
Green- 9.86:1
Red- 8.25:1

I'm not gonna go into the detail (cause you can search for it if you want it) but the general thing is...The higher the speed of the gear the lower the acceleration (torque) and vice-versa.

Good catch on the package!

Also watch the 8 dollar tune up kit. Has same easy to modify package.
