Small size wheel mod?
I'm hacking apart a bit to make a full size wheel mod (4 rear wheels), but I'm wondering if I could keep the two front wheels I replace to make a small size wheel mod? (4 front wheels)
Has anyone tried this before?
I think there might be problems mounting the wheel/rim onto the axle... any help is very much appreciated!

Another small question...
About wheel mods, since I'm replacing the original wheels does that mean the wheels will fall off easier?
I'd still like to be able to race them around.
I guess the answer will decide whether I make a set of small size and full size wheel chassis. (2 per frequency)

ive found that between the smallsize and fullsize wheel mods, the fullsize are better. they last longer, are easier to do, and provide better turning.

oh :(
I was hoping to keep a small size car to race for well but maybe I'll just keep it for show.
I like how the wheels look proportionally more like real cars... but I guess they sometimes look weird with the big wheel wells.
What do you think will look better with my lancer evo body shell?
These mods look so complicated. x____x

I have done many small wheel mods on Zip Zaps. They look more to scale. The wheelwell size is not real noticable if the body is lowered. Here is one currently in the works. All small (front) wheels.

wow! that looks totally awesome, man! they do look a lot more in proportion. now if only that wold somehow be done with microsizers and bitchar-g's i think that the MS's would dominate, but i am not sure...ill have to look into that. the only thing is the bodies are way outta whack on ZZ's, but if Tomy could fix the problem, then it would be a lot better.

I just did the smallsize on a zap a couple of days ago, it's not too hard. The back axle is the hardest part. You have to make sure it is the right size and the gear fits in right. I had to dremel down my gear so it sat flat with the smaller wheel. I did it with a lan evo body. Then i slammed it down as far as it would go, and it looks pretty good. my digicam got stolen, but i might try it with my camcorder, i think it's got a still function...
