Want Black Rims??? here's how to get some!(with pics)

Well i have to give credit to a guy from **********s.com priceman...i had the concept he had the finishing touches

1st take out the wheels from the white hubs.......priceman says you can keep the rear wheels on the axle. then take some nail polish remover and stick them in there. Wait for abouta minute or so and take them out. The wheels should have most of the chrome off......if not you use an old tooth brush to brush it off or leave them in for a little bit more. After that u can take them off. rinse them off REAL good nder water and you shouild have a nice set of black rims. If the black looks dull just spray a shot of Amor-all. Works great.

Again the credit goes to Priceman.....

MTL i'm real sorry bout that.......some nail polish remover can be real corrosive. I haven't had that problem yet...have you checked the label to see if it was safe to get on plastics??? Once again i'm sorry.........so for all of you who do decide to do this make sure the Nail POlish remover isn't so corrosive that it will eat at the plastic. MTL i'm sorry.......

well i'm not sure........its some generic brand. I must warn u though...the wheels i have done where cloen wheels so the piant is cheaper so the chrome vame off in a matter of second. With another set of wheels more like the TOMY's it has taken a while to get the chroms off.....but no platic deterieration.

ehh its all good..i aint mad anymore..
i just use a bottle of remover my sister had..there wasnt much left in it..so i thought that i would use it...and unfortenetly...we learn from our mistakes..
but it was really weerd...when i took the rims out..it was all.."gooey" i like smudged it and all...look like it was in a car bombing...

now i got deep dish chrome rims
but this rear gear i got from the hot wheels kit is retarded..it somtimes gets "locked" and wont move.. ;/

also..it seems really IMPOSSIBLE to take rims off the rear axle of the original bit without damaging it......
