Duratrax Piranha Peak Charger help
So, I'm pretty new to the whole battery thing, but I have the basics down. I picked up a Duratrax Piranha Peak Charger the other day, and I'm a little foggy regarding the peak voltage setting. What do I set the peak at, and what does this setting regulate? I think the default is like 6mV/C or somehting like that. Any help out there from some Piranha Digital Peak owners?
Thanks.

The instructions show the proper setting for both nicad and nimh batteries. I use the setting mentioned in the instructions, and it seems to work fine.
As far as what it does...... Here's the deal as far as I understand it. When a rechargeable battery hits peak charge, there is a large swing in voltage. This setting tells the charger what size swing in voltage to look for, so it knows when to stop charging.
There is also a setting where you enter the capacity of the battery (in amps). This setting acts as a backup. If the charger doesn’t see the peak charge swing in voltage, it will shut off when it has finished charging the number of amps that you set.
Does this make any sense?

Yeah, Buzzbait, it does make sense; thanks. I also read the "manual" a little closer and gained some insight there, as well. I'm trying my first cell (50mAH stock Tomy) tonight. I'll report back with my results.
