had to RMA my new NSX-R :(
Serious bummer! I was racing my car around on the hardwood floors and all of a sudden, it just started doing tight little circles over and over. Reverse was seriously slow, like, almost no movement at all. I checked the car over for any hairs trapped in the wheel assembly area, and nothing. I tried my other controller and got the same behavior out of the car. I fiddled around with it quite a bit, but the gears are a lot harder to get at now that they are enclosed on the R type cars. Oh well! I also noticed, that the trigger on my older DigiQ set was a LOT tighter, and the R series controller's trigger has about 1/2 inches of play when you leave it at dead center. So, the controller would make the car stagger forward or backwards unless you completely centered it with your finger. Annoying!! So, I called Cosmo Games up, sent them an email, they sent me back an RMA for the whole set, so I shipped it off and am waiting for the newbie to show up. It was fun while it was working, though. Anyone else have probs like this with their cars or controllers??

Same thing has happened to my DigiQ F-1 set; the gears are also enclosed, and one wheel doesn't spin on startup! Also, I cannot return them since I bought them in Japan ...

Yeah, it was really tough to get into the sealed gearbox area. I finally gave up in fear of damaging the chassis. Is it sealed with glue at one end or something?? I have been playing around with my 1st gen Audi TT car since the NSX has beem RMA'd and it definitely only lasts about 1/2 as long as the 2nd gen R series car. I am going to test top-end speeds when I get the other one back. I can get the little Audi TT about 2 feet up my wall with a little quarter pipe I made which goes from the floor to the wall with a width of about 2 feet. It's pretty darn cool!

WOOOHOOOO!!! I got it back today. It's definitely a whole new set. The controller trigger seems a lot looser than my 1st gen controller, still. Oh well! I have to say, I really like the lighting system. It really gives the car a extra nice flair, IMHO.
