I'm pretty good at drifting in Tokyo extreme racer...and growing up in Alaska you pretty much have to learn to drift/power slide when you learn to drive so you dont end up in ditches...

If you really want to semi-drift a Bit Char-g, get the GS-07 Tomy Tire Set and a KC 3.8 motor. The best way to power slide...

How to drift...

I use a OEM 3.8 Pink Slip rotor and and BitRacer medium tires (much harder than a Bitchar-G medium) on a 2.4v bit.

blast in a straight line then lift off the gas and begin your turn. half second into the turn, tap the reverse, and your car drifts (slides sideways). Then hit the gas before your car comes to a complete stop to pull out. remember to tap the reverse only, cuz hitting it too long 180's the car and it does a bootlegger turn and gets it running in reverse instead.

I am drifting on linoleum. I dunno if that would be considered very slick, although I think the drift action comes from the forward turning momentum and the sudden reverse spin, cuz at that moment the traction is lost. But I suppose it would def. be slicker than your surface, cuz the car doesnt flip. Are you using BitChar-G or Bitracer tires?
